How to choose the Tail Light Kit for your BMW R nineT Series ?

This is a very common question, and we receive it quite often.
Many owners/ riders are frequently confused about the differences between our two tail light kit options, SHORT TAIL LIGHT KIT & SHORT TAIL LIGHT KIT / EU SPEC. First, you will need to identify which specification your R nineT is. If you are unable to confirm it yourself, we recommend contacting to your BMW MOTORRAD LOCAL DEALERS or checking directly from the Genuine Tail Light for identification.
The above photo is intended to help you quickly distinguish between the two: the upper one is the US SPEC and the lower one is the EU SPEC.

This product is specifically designed for US-SPEC R nineT Series.
It includes an E4 E-Mark certified LED Tail Light with License Plate Light. The Tail Light is equipped with an EU-SPEC connector and resistor.
The turn signals can be retained from the original setup or replaced with the aftermarket options from other brands.
HOW TO USE AN EU-SPEC CONNECTOR ON A US-SPEC BMW R nineT Series?
BMW R nineT Series comes pre-equipped with both EU-SPEC and US-SPEC connectors from the factory, when you receive the product, please locate the EU-SPEC connector on your R nineT. Connecting it to the included harness will allow the tail light to function properly.
