1. Usage Restrictions We provide no warranties, express or implied, regarding the use of our products in competitive racing, track days, riding schools (including safety riding centers), or extreme off-road riding. Engaging in these activities subjects the cylinder guards and engine components to thermal and mechanical stresses exceeding their engineered design parameters, which may lead to unpredictable vehicle damage or accidents.
2. Scope of Protection The primary function of this product is to serve as a sacrificial safety buffer for the protruding cylinder heads and to minimize potential cosmetic or structural damage to the motorcycle’s valve covers during low-speed tip-overs or stationary falls. However, DKdesign assumes no liability for direct or indirect vehicle damage or personal injury resulting from crashes, high-speed slides, or improper/incorrect installation.
3. Force Transmission Due to the prominent layout of the BMW Boxer engine, motorcycle accidents involve unpredictable physical phenomena. In certain impact angles or high-energy collisions, kinetic forces may exceed the energy-absorbing capacity of the guard and still be transmitted directly to the cylinder heads, engine casing, spark plug area, or internal valve train. By installing and using this product, the user acknowledges that its presence does not guarantee the total prevention of engine damage in the event of an accident.
