1. Usage Restrictions
We provide no warranties, express or implied, regarding the use of our protective products (including but not limited to cylinder guards and engine crash bars) in competitive racing, track days, educational training (including safety riding centers), or across various environments such as paved roads, off-road terrain, or wilderness. Engaging in these activities subjects the product components and the motorcycle to thermal and mechanical stresses exceeding their engineered design parameters, which may lead to unpredictable vehicle damage or accidents.
2. Scope of Protection
The primary function of our protective products is to serve as a sacrificial safety buffer for the rider and the motorcycle’s protruding components, minimizing potential cosmetic or structural damage—such as to the cylinder heads, valve covers, and engine casing—during low-speed tip-overs or stationary falls. However, DKdesign assumes no liability for direct or indirect vehicle damage, property damage, or personal injury resulting from crashes, falls, high-speed slides, accidents, or improper/incorrect installation.
3. Force Transmission
Due to the prominent layout of the BMW Boxer engine and the inherent nature of motorcycling, vehicle operation and accidents involve unpredictable physical phenomena. In certain impact angles or high-energy collisions, kinetic forces may exceed the energy-absorbing capacity of the protective components and still be transmitted directly to the motorcycle's core structures, including the cylinder heads, engine casing, valve train, oil pan, spark plug area, or the vehicle frame. By installing and using our products, the user explicitly acknowledges that their presence does not guarantee the total prevention of vehicle or engine damage in the event of an accident.
